The Center for Psychological Support Sensus has launched a new communication channel on Instagram as part of the campaign “Mental Health in Classrooms,” enabling citizens to easily and directly follow the campaign, join the conversation, and learn how they can support the introduction of psychologists in secondary schools in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

The campaign is aimed at improving youth mental health by ensuring continuous and accessible support from school psychologists in all secondary schools in the HNC. It advocates for the consistent implementation of existing Pedagogical Standards and Norms. However, in order to understand what this support should look like in practice, it is important to hear from those who are part of the education system—students, parents, and teachers—as well as from citizens who themselves went through secondary education without access to professional psychological support.

“When we talk about systemic psychological support in schools, we are not only talking about institutions and regulations. We are talking about real young people, their needs, and their experiences. That is why it is important for us that we are not the only ones speaking in this campaign. We want to hear from citizens—their experiences, questions, and suggestions—because the changes we advocate for concern the well-being of the entire community,” stated representatives of the Center for Psychological Support Sensus.

For this reason, the Instagram channel has been launched as an additional space for dialogue, questions, polls, and the exchange of experiences. Through this channel, citizens will be able to share their own experiences, express their views on the availability of psychological support in schools, and directly participate in discussions on the topics raised by the campaign. Their responses and experiences will help ensure that the campaign’s messages and activities accurately reflect the real needs of young people and the community.

We invite citizens, civil society organizations, and media representatives to join the Instagram channel, follow the development of the campaign, participate in the conversation, and help spread the message about the importance of accessible psychological support in schools to as many people as possible.
