October in Breza was marked by the campaign “Give Priority Even When You (Don’t) See the Reason”, launched with PRAGG support and implemented by the Center for Positive Practices (CPP). The campaign’s goal is to create a more inclusive community and ensure priority rights for people with developmental disabilities and their parents or guardians.
In October, the Center for Positive Practices sent an official letter to the Breza Municipal Council, calling on councilors to support the initiative that would grant persons with disabilities and their families priority access to public services.
This initiative envisions priority rights for persons with developmental disabilities and their parents/guardians in all public institutions and companies founded by the Municipality of Breza, along with staff training, clear signage, and special identification cards.
“We hope that the Breza Municipal Council will discuss this initiative at its next session and, by voting in favor, help us create a community where all citizens have equal opportunities,” stated CPP representatives.
After the initiative was presented to the public, a series of emotional performances by students from Breza schools followed, giving a special touch to the campaign and showing that inclusion begins with the youngest members of society.

Performance by Students of the Mixed Secondary School “Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar” Breza
Through a musical performance, students Emin Čosić and Ajna Mušić, on behalf of their school, classmates, and teachers, expressed support for the campaign “Give Priority Even When You (Don’t) See the Reason.” With one of the most beautiful songs, “If I Were Someone,” they said it all — the world would be a much better place if love and acceptance ruled it.

Performance by Students of the Elementary School “Safvet-beg Bašagić”
At Rudar Square, the students delivered a collective performance filled with positive energy, colors, and messages of support. To the lyrics “Never be afraid, love is stronger…”, they conveyed a simple yet powerful message — that love and acceptance are the foundations of every community.
“We sincerely thank the students Nefić Emina, Čolan Husein, Muminović Rejhan, Muratović Najra, Sokić Vedad, Medić Ahmed, Medić Amina, Suša Ahmed, Jusić Ajša, Smailbegović Sajra, Kovačević Ajnur, and Kadrić Merijem for sharing the most beautiful messages on behalf of all their friends — messages that will warm our hearts for a long time,” said CPP representatives.

Performance by Students of the Gymnasium “Muhsin Rizvić”
The gymnasium students decided to take it a step further. After performing the song “What You Give Is All You Have” at Rudar Square, they recorded a music video to capture the campaign’s message and share it with the wider public. Students Safet Bašić, Amna Botić, Lajla Frljak, Amina Aščalić, Naida Uzunović, Lejla Fišek, Amina Čosić, Ummi-Sellemi Kamenjaš, and Nedžma Velić, together with school principal Ermin Ferhatović and pedagogue Aldina Džanko Zulum, used music to express what words often cannot — that humanity is what connects us all.
Support for the campaign also came from many local businesses, including “Ninac” store, Motel Bosnia, “Start” Auto Parts, Public Institution “Apoteke Sarajevo”, and Bingo. All of them displayed campaign posters and sent a clear message — that the right to dignity and respect must have no exceptions.
“We invite other private entities — shops, banks, salons, cafés, and institutions — to join the campaign and display their posters of support! Together, we are building a community that sees with the heart,” added CPP representatives.
In October, the campaign “Give Priority Even When You (Don’t) See the Reason” turned Breza into a municipality that sees with the heart — a place where differences are not hidden but celebrated, and empathy becomes a way of life.
