Rules, procedures, and programs are changing faster than ever, and civil society organizations must continuously learn and adapt in order to provide quality support to citizens.
That is why the Job Shadowing program, implemented by the Institute for Youth Development KULT as one of PRAGG’s local partners, has become such an important tool for strengthening organizational capacities.
This time, KULT opened its doors to representatives of the Association for Assistance to People with Autism “Djeca svjetlosti” from Banja Luka. Their energy, questions, and eagerness to acquire new skills brought fresh dynamics and demonstrated how much a motivated team can grow when given the right opportunity.
“What impressed us most was the selfless sharing of information, after which we felt we had a clear sense of direction for our future work. We also felt that everyone genuinely cared about us and our development, which gives us confidence even after the program ends,” said Olivera Davidović Knežić, expert associate at the Association.
Through the program, participants had the chance to see firsthand how another organization functions, learn through practical examples, and exchange experiences. This kind of knowledge-sharing strengthens not only individuals but the entire civil society sector.
Job Shadowing is more than a visit or a meeting — it is a process that connects people, ideas, and experiences, giving organizations the strength to better respond to the needs of their communities.
The Association for Assistance to People with Autism Djeca svjetlosti is a partner organization actively participating in capacity-building programs through the PRAGG project, financed by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by the HELVETAS–NIRAS consortium in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in partnership with local partners Centers for Civil Initiatives (CCI) and the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
