It is with great pride and satisfaction that we inform you that all legal procedures for the appointment of the director of the Institute for Providing Free Legal Aid of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton have been completed. According to the official information at our disposal, no objections have been recorded regarding the appointment of Aida Zerem as the director of the Institute. Therefore, there are no longer any legal obstacles to the functional operation of the Institute for Providing Free Legal Aid in HNK.

This success is attributed to the initiative 'Right to Legal Aid – Mostar', which was launched last year by two Mostar associations – the Association for Education and Development 'Dignitet' and the Nansen Dialogue Centre (NDC) Mostar. "On this occasion, I express immense pride and happiness for the achieved result and the fact that the most vulnerable groups in our Canton will finally have the opportunity to exercise one of the basic human rights – the right to legal aid. I thank Goran Karanović, the Minister of Justice, Administration, and Local Government of our Canton, who has supported us from the beginning and proved to be a man of his word. Thanks to his consistency and perseverance, we were able to achieve this goal to the satisfaction of the entire community. I also express my gratitude to the President of the Government of HNK, Marija Buhač, whose support we had from day one. Additionally, I thank Adil Šuta, the Minister of Finance of HNK, for the significant support he has provided us throughout. I believe this is a great success for our Canton and a major step forward for all of us, and that justice will finally be accessible to everyone, as it should have been from the beginning", emphasized Edisa Demić, a representative of the initiative 'Right to Legal Aid – Mostar.'

On the occasion of this significant event, the 'Dignity' Association and NDC will, in the current month, gather all those who contributed to ensuring that the Institute for Providing Free Legal Aid of HNK was finally put into operation.
