Bijeljina is undergoing important changes to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities. Following the presentation of the draft Rulebook on Providing Personal Assistance Services for People with Disabilities and a constructive discussion with organisations representing people with disabilities, the Rulebook was officially adopted during a meeting of the Management Board of the Bijeljina Centre for Social Work. This Rulebook outlines all the key aspects of providing personal assistance services – from eligibility criteria to the organisation of the service itself.
The next step involves launching a public call to select organisations that will deliver personal assistance services. This is a critical phase to ensure the service becomes fully operational, and the public call is expected to be announced soon. Bijeljina is on track to become the third city in the Republic of Srpska to offer personal assistance services.
This video aims to highlight the importance of personal assistance and the dedication of everyone involved in making this service a reality. Watch the video to learn more about this important project for the City of Bijeljina."
