The Association of Paraplegics and Individuals with Cerebral Palsy Zenica has submitted an initiative requesting the mayor and city services of Zenica to allocate budgetary funding for representative organizations of people with disabilities and civilian victims of war in Zenica.
Nearly 1,000 citizens of Zenica have supported this initiative with their signatures, which aims to strengthen inclusivity and establish sustainable funding for organizations that assist people with disabilities in Zenica, in accordance with current legislation. This support from the community clearly demonstrates the public's awareness of the importance of backing organizations that provide services to individuals with disabilities. Such significant community support highlights the commitment of citizens to creating better conditions for all members of society.
“Our activities have had a tremendous impact on the community and have shown how crucial it is for everyone to work together to improve the lives of people with disabilities. We have submitted this initiative to the mayor to ensure support for organizations serving people with disabilities, in line with the existing entity regulations. This step is essential to meet legal obligations and to ensure the continuity of the work of organizations that assist people with disabilities,” stated the president of the Association of Paraplegics and Individuals with Cerebral Palsy Zenica.
