From the very beginning, the PRAGG project has been guided by the belief that all people have the right to equal opportunities, dignity, and fair access to public services.
Together with numerous civil society organizations across Bosnia and Herzegovina, we implement initiatives that improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
Below, we highlight just a selection of initiatives implemented in partnership with civil society organizations across the country (in BHS):
👉opening of the Day Center for children with developmental disabilities in Jablanica – Association „Budi mi prijatelj“
👉 improved access to healthcare and public institutions in Trebinje (Association „Stop mobing“) i Prijedor (Citizens’ Association "DON")
👉advocacy for the priority right of parents and guardians of children with developmental disabilities in accessing public services in Breza (Association "Centar pozitivne prakse")
👉 reform steps in Brčko that enable the employment of persons with disabilities in the public sector (Citizens’ Association "Vjera&nada")
👉 formal recognition of organizations of persons with disabilities in Zenica (Association of Paraplegics and Persons Affected by Childhood Paralysis Zenica)
👉 advocacy for expanding the list of assistive devices for blind and visually impaired persons in the Tuzla Canton (Citizens’ Association of the Visually Impaired Tuzla)
👉 advocacy for home care services for elderly and frail persons (Citizens’ Association "DON")
👉 initiatives for the protection and empowerment of women who have survived violence (Foundation "Lara")
👉 advocacy for personal assistance services in Bijeljina (Association of Women with Disabilities "Impuls"), Doboj (Coordinating Committee of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities Doboj – KOOSI) i Prnjavor (Citizens’ Association "Romska djevojka – Romani Ćej")
👉 opening of the Cantonal Institute for Free Legal Aid in Mostar, which—after 11 years of non-functioning—has, thanks to advocacy efforts and cooperation with government representatives, finally enabled an inclusive system of free legal aid in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (Association Dignitet)
👉 and other local and cantonal processes that contribute to equality and a more just society.
Through our broader sensitization programme, we continue strengthening the capacities of civil society for inclusive practices — because inclusion should be part of every organization’s culture, not just a project requirement.
In the end, PRAGG’s true legacy will not be measured solely by project indicators, but by inclusive practices, lasting partnerships, and resilient advocacy efforts that will continue shaping communities long after the project concludes.
