The City Assembly of Bijeljina has accepted the initiative to support the opening of the Youth Center, which has officially provided the young people in this city with budgetary support for the implementation of this long-awaited project! In the first year of operation, a minimum of 7,000 KM will be allocated for the work of the Youth Center, and the exact amount will be known after the official adoption of the budget.

In addition, at the same session, the councilors adopted the Bijeljina City Development Strategy until 2030, which foresees significantly higher allocations for youth in the future. This decision confirms that the city recognizes the importance of youth initiatives and provides long-term support for their development.

"This is a huge step forward for the youth in Bijeljina! For the first time, we have a specific budget item dedicated to the Youth Center," the young people said.

As a reminder, this Initiative aims to provide a unique space in Bijeljina where young people can gather, learn, create, and build together. The campaign was officially launched on August 12th last year on Youth Day, when "Youth Vision" highlighted the importance of creating a space for young people. Through the research they conducted, the great need for such a center was confirmed - young people expressed a desire for a space for educational workshops and cultural and sports activities, but also a place for mutual connection and support.

"Our mission is to provide the necessary funds to realize this idea and provide young people in our city with a space to gather, learn, and create. We believe that young people deserve a space where they can develop their potential, find support, and connect with their peers. The center will offer numerous activities, from educational workshops to creative projects, all to empower young people and strengthen the community," said Rada Mićić, president of the Youth Organization "Youth Vision".

In addition, at the same session, the councilors adopted the Strategy for the Development of the City of Bijeljina until 2030, which envisages significantly higher allocations for young people in the future. This decision confirms that the city recognizes the importance of youth initiatives and provides long-term support for their development.

The youth organization "Youth Vision" will continue its activities to ensure that the funds are used in the best way and that the Youth Center becomes a dynamic and sustainable space for all young people in Bijeljina.

Young people now have a reason to celebrate, but also a new task - to ensure the long-term development of the Youth Center together with local authorities, donors, and the community!
